The industrial development plan of Bowang high tech Zone (2013-2020) was officially issued. According to the plan, by 2020, Bowang high tech Zone will strive to build a first-class high-tech Industrial Development Zone in the province, with a main business income of more than 100 billion yuan.

As the main industrial development carrier of Bowang District, after years of rolling development, Bowang high tech Zone has initially formed leading industries such as blade mould, shearing machine tool, engineering machinery parts, metallurgical calendering, high-quality forging and building materials. The industrial cluster has begun to take shape, and the products are sold to more than 50 countries and regions all over the country and the world. In 2012, Bowang high tech Zone achieved a total industrial output value of 7.9 billion yuan.

According to the plan, in the future, Bowang high tech Zone will focus on expanding and strengthening the machine tool and die industry with forging machine tools as the main body, and take this as the core, actively extend new materials and electronic information, and backward extend engineering machinery, energy conservation and environmental protection, so as to build a mechanical equipment and electronic information industry cluster; At the same time, we will vigorously expand modern service industries such as scientific and technological services, modern logistics and business and trade, provide service industry support for the manufacturing industry of the high-tech zone and the industrial development of surrounding areas, jointly build a "1 + 4 + 3" key industrial system, and promote the industrial expansion and strength improvement of the high-tech zone.

The planning area of Bowang high tech Zone is about 21 square kilometers, and the overall spatial development pattern is "one body, two wings and three zones". "Integration", i.e. "central area", is the key area to be built by Bowang high tech Zone in the future. It will be built into the core plate of high tech Zone integrating energy conservation and environmental protection, new materials, electronic information, business and trade, science and technology services and other comprehensive industrial functions. "Two wings" are "eastern area" and "western area". Among them, the "Jiubo scientific and technological innovation demonstration base" in the east wing will be built into a national R & D and innovation center of shearing machine tools and blade molds and an important equipment manufacturing industrial base in Maanshan city; The "Special Steel Forging Industrial Park" in the West Wing will become an important production base of high-quality steel and iron-based new materials in Ma'anshan City.

In terms of spatial development sequence, 2013-2015 is the key promotion period, which will accelerate the improvement of supporting infrastructure construction such as transportation, hydropower and communication in the high-tech zone, and strengthen traffic links with surrounding areas such as Ma'anshan main urban area, Nanjing Lukou Airport and Nanjing main urban area.

2016-2020 is a period of comprehensive upgrading, mainly improving the industrial level and accelerating the gathering of high-end innovation and entrepreneurship talents.
